Shopping on Ibiza

If you are into souvenirs, be sure to check out the famous Lladro Porcelain. It makes a wonderful present and is a timeless gift that will surely make the receiving party happy.

Once on Ibiza, you might feel the temptation to compare local prices of cigars, cigarettes and alcohol to those at home. Especially if you are from the United Kingdom, you will be pleasantly surprised to see local prices far below those in the UK. Although the temptation to buy insane amounts of these goods is there, we strongly suggest that you educate yourself on how much you are legally permitted to take home.

Opening hours on Ibiza may confuse the tourist who is there for the first time. If you're used to opening hours that stretch from the early morning to late evening, you might be disappointed to see that Ibiza is different. Some of the larger stores keep their premises open for the whole day whilst the majority of small merchants prefers to close for a few hours around midday.

As for paying with credit cards, Visa and MasterCard are accepted at almost every location. If you intend to pay with either American Express or Diners Club, you may experience not being able to pay with them in some places.
